Description

Genoa the Superb! Three days to discover the most reserved of Italian cities on the occasion of the Euroflora 2025 event!

From the historic center to the Aquarium, from its museums to the promenade overlooking the sea of Nervi, from its historic shops to the Old Port, from the panorama of Spianata Castelletto to its green parks... with this offer you will have a stay in a very central 4* hotel in BB, tickets for Euroflora, the 72 hour card with access to museums, guided tours and public transport!

Euroflora is an international plant and flower exhibition recognized by AIPH, International Association of Horticultural Producers. The exhibition thrives on the participation of exhibitors from Italy and abroad, belonging to some prevalent categories: horticulturalists, with single or collective participations usually coordinated by the Regions and Chambers of Commerce, floral designers, parks, botanical gardens, municipalities and foreign states that promote the specificities of the territory and their own productions through the setting up of real gardens.

The first edition dates back to 1966, set up in the Genoa exhibition center where it took place every five years until 2011. In 2018 and 2022 it took place within the Parks and Museums of Nervi, a landscape complex overlooking the cliff formed by the union of three historic parks subject to landscape and architectural constraints which preserved their beauty and integrity despite being all open to the public the days. The 2025 edition, the thirteenth, is a return to the future. The event returns to the areas of the former trade fair district, transformed by a large urban regeneration project designed by architect Renzo Piano.

The location in the Waterfront allows Euroflora to be reborn thanks to new spaces facing the sea - including the new urban park of 30 thousand square meters and a floating route in the marinas - with an expansion of the contents and references of the event. Starting from the rarities and excellences of all horticultural productions, Euroflora fully embraces the themes of landscape architecture, species conservation, respect for the environment and environmental sustainability.

The visit to Euroflora is emblematic of a lifestyle that looks to green tourism, to the presence in the area of parks, trekking routes, cycle paths in combination with local excellence in the artistic, cultural and food and wine fields.

Visiting

Friday - Day 1 Arrival in Genoa
Friday - Day 1 Arrival in Genoa

Arrival and hotel accommodation.

Start your tour in the historic center which is said to be the largest in Europe. Without a doubt the most fascinating and the most authentic. A dense fabric of lights and shadows, with those secluded corners in which to give in to the temptation of a little disorientation. Or with the splendor of the collections of the Strada Nuova Museums, housed in the noble palaces of what someone has defined as the most beautiful street in the world. The Card will guarantee you access and travel.

At lunch time you can focus on the nearby Porto Antico and its restaurants a stone's throw from the waters of the ancient commercial port, today returned to its vocation as a bright lounge overlooking the sea. And immediately afterwards, especially for families, a visit to the Aquarium and the Children's City is unmissable. In the area, other points of interest with a strong connotation of the city's identity are the Galata Museum of the Sea and Navigation, with an interactive visit to the Nazario Sauro submarine moored nearby, and the new MEI, Museum of Italian Emigration, which reconstructs the history of a national diaspora which had its most important starting point in the port of Genoa.

The afternoon can include a move towards the east, with the seaside promenade of Corso Italia which leads, without even a pedestrian crossing, to the small fishing village of Boccadasse with its colorful houses clinging to the rocks. And where to end the first day by indulging in a fish dinner with the rustling of the waves as a backdrop to the conversation.

Overnight stay.

Saturday - Day 2 Euroflora
Saturday - Day 2 Euroflora

Breakfast at the hotel.

Prepare your comfortable shoes, take the bus and reach the fair area to visit Euroflora.

The narrative path of the exhibition will unfold through a dialogue with art and the involvement of all the senses.

Some highly symbolic elements were chosen - such as Burri's Cretto or Pollock's dripping - attributable to the artistic identity of great Contemporary Masters who, in addition to structuring the spatial articulation of the exhibition, draw attention to the problems of our time: water scarcity, contamination between natural and anthropized landscapes, the need for a new lightness and naturalness.

ORIGAMI

Following this vision of the earth as a manipulable surface, the idea of Origami takes shape, models of daily practice that can become artistic expression. The origami will be the landmark that will help people orient themselves between the different exhibition spaces, identifying the various project areas.

THE ARENAS

The concept of contamination between man and nature then returns to the Arenas, also located along the narrative path. They will be spaces intended for sharing knowledge for community growth.

Euroflora 2025 will be organized in approximately 85,000 square meters in the Levante Waterfront in a route that will start from Kennedy Park, enter the Palasport, descend into the seaside spaces of the Marina and finally enter the world of the Blue Pavilion.

It will therefore have outdoor spaces but also many indoor spaces, so as to be usable in all weather conditions and have a very varied exhibition offer.

The time you stay at Euroflora will depend on the level of your love for flowers and plants.

In any case, the spaces in the new Levante Waterfront are very large, around 85,000 square metres, and therefore we have estimated that an adequate visit will take around 4-5 hours.

Sunday - Day 3 Bye!
Sunday - Day 3 Bye!

Breakfast at the hotel and check out.

Make the most of the time before departure, for example with a vertical break, going up to Spianata Castelletto with the lift that the poet Giorgio Caproni called "the lift to Paradise". It has never been so easy (and free) to go to Heaven. Which in this case presents itself as a balcony overlooking the city to greet it from the other with one of the most beautiful views!
